Spring Into Working Equitation

New obstacles:

Bridge- if you don't have a bridge, you can use 2 poles and a tarp, or sheet of plywood or similar as long as it is a corridor with a different footing. It is always done at the walk.

Gate -  Has entrance / exit markers. You will need your turn on the haunches, rein back, and turn on the forehand for this. If you are unsure how to get started - try the member video tutorials - there are some training progressions for the gate!

Double slalom - there is a training video for this obstacle in the member content area.

Skill challenge in this course is  riding one handed with the garrocha on a  longer line. Learning to ride from the seat is a fundamental skill in WE.  You are asked in this course to navigate over the bridge with the garrocha before spearing the ring. This happens often in WE and will more difficult  when the pole is carried through other lines and obstacles. Start learning now!

L2+  - Side pass pole has been added.  There is only one pole. Rider can choose direction. You must pass through the entry markers.

​

 L3+ and up has the rounding posts. You must reverse around the middle post on the side you remove the cup. Then replace the cup on that side. (see EOH manual PDF)
